This post is going to be a little bit random...
Andrew definitely fits in our family...he LOVES cookie dough. Yes, that's right I'm a bad mom and let me kids eat cookie dough. I grew up eating it and turned out okay. So far my kids are okay. And come to think of it I don't know of anyone who has ever gotten sick from eating eat. Here are some cute pictures of Andrew eating his dough.
Saturday night Adie suddenly turned into a valley girl. I don't know where she got it from. I most certainly don't talk like that. She even has a different tone to her voice when she does it. It makes her seems so grown up. Sample conversation from today after playing in some sprinklers, "The water was like so cold. It was like so fun. I like love playing in the water." It cracks me up.
The other day Matt and I were getting ready to go to the temple with our ward. I was telling Isabelle that we were going. She was very sad and really wanted to come. We went over it several times, that you have to be older to go to the temple. There were some tears and sadness, and then she finally said, "Mom I just want to go to the temple so I can feel the Holy Spirit and pray." How sweet. I think the Primary songs are working at teaching her! We are going to take the girls to the open house and they are SO excited!
And welcome to our new family member, Rosie. Adie saw this dog a few months ago at the store and really wanted it. I told her she would have to save the money (we are trying to work on doing chores.) She saw it again a few weeks back and was dying to have it. We went home and counted on her job chart how many jobs she would have to do. It turned out that she would need to do every job for the rest of the week so that she would have enough money. She is a very lazy girl, but when she wants something she really steps it up. She worked so hard all week to earn her money. Sunday she couldn't even sleep she was so excited to go and get her dog in the morning. Monday morning we went to get it and it was gone! She was so sad. We got back in the car and she started talking to her money, "Don't worry George Washington, we will find the dog somewhere else." Well I called every store in the county that sells Ty and no one had her dog. We had to order it online and she had to wait till it came on Friday. Torture for her. Anyway, I have made this lame story really long. She calls her new dog, Rosie, her little sister. She has informed me that it is my daughter, and now tells people that we have six people in our family - no I am not expecting! It's cute that she cares about it so much. I think it's true that kids appreciate things more if they have to work for it. Now Adie has photo sessions of Rosie everyday. She even asked me today why we don't have any pictures of Rosie displayed in our house like the other kids.

On a side note, Andrew is now one week older then Adie was when Isabelle was BORN! How crazy was that (and Adie wasn't even close to walking)! It's no wonder I was a depressed zombie for a year after that happened. Anyway, I guess I've just been reflecting how glad I am that I am not giving birth again at this point. Andrew is a cranky mess with molars coming hopefully soon!
I told you this would be random, I guess I forgot to warn that it would also be long!

It's great to see a new blog. All of your stories were fun. Do you need someone to watch Andrew when you take the girls to the temple?
never too long for me. i check your blog everyday, and today my wish for a new post came true!
Can I just cut and paste your blog over to mine??? I totally haven't blogged about Alison walking or Chad talking like a valley dude or Chad's frog and Kyle's Crocodile stuffed animal friends! Seriously, when I was reading this I thought I could just take your words and change the names to my kids!!! Crazy!!! Chad's voice just recently changed, too! Is that a 5 and 1/2 year old thing??? And I thought about mentioning Alison walking in an upcoming post...I just kind of skipped over that exciting new skill! :) You are a great Mom! I wish we saw each other more!
Yeah, I think eating cookie dough is overrated! Andrew is such a cute big boy! I am glad that Adie has a dog she loves so much-maybe you should have another kid-it sounds like you need another one now! Bellie is so sweet! And I agree with Di-your blogs can never be too long-that is all we have of your children these days!
We had a delightful photo shot with Rosie yesterday and Adie was VERY mad at me because she said that you sent me pictures of Rosie on my phone and didnt believe me that I didnt get them.
For the record I had a companion who got salmonella from eating cookie dough, but it was in a foreign country. I was hoping for a more exciting new family member (like an announcement) but tell Addie we're excited for her too.
So this has nothing to do with this blog, but refers to a comment you made on mine. You really should come up and visit! The Wood's are coming, and sisters, it would be like a magical cousin reunion, we could all go to Glacier and just have the funniest time ever! Think about it!
OK...I actually thought you were talking about a REAL dog...until I got to the end of your post. It never really occured to me that you couldn't call around and look for the exact same live dog (I thought a "Ty" maybe was a species?) and then order one on the internet. Duh! But stuffed dogs are the ones I prefer right now, too.
